Lock complex equipment in Ivoz-Ramet
The lock complex in Ivoz-Ramet is the main lock in Wallonia and has a length of 225 metres and a width of 25 metres. This lock carries 12 millions of tonnes of material each year.
Vameco installed the hydraulic equipment of the mitre gates, valve gate and butterfly valves of the circular sewer.
This required the supply and installation of 8 hydraulic cylinders (4 of them with a stroke of 4,500 mm and bore of 320 mm for the drive of the mitre gates and valve gate, and another 4 with a stroke of 1,010 mm and a bore of 200 mm for the control of the butterfly valves) and of 5 hydraulic units (of which the biggest one has a tank capacity of 630 litres of oil and two 37-kW motors).
